The brief

A furniture brand needed catalogue imagery for its range — sofa, coffee table, armchair, bar stool, lamps, dining table, chairs, pendant light, bed — without a photoshoot, each piece shown in a styled room.

Our approach

Products were modelled from the brand's references and placed in three designed room sets. The review round sharpened the living-room background, softened a furry armchair and re-curved a chair's arms with a warmer colour.

The result

Twelve visuals delivered and revised within eight days.

What this render has to do

A furniture brand launching a range needs pictures long before every piece is available to shoot. These twelve visuals show a sofa, coffee table, armchair, bar stool, lamps, dining table, chairs, pendant light and bed, each placed in a styled room so a buyer sees it in context rather than floating on white.

That is the quiet strength of product rendering. One set of models can produce a wide living-room scene, a close-up of a leg detail and a top-down view of a table surface, all with matching light, without booking a studio or shipping prototypes. The result reads as catalogue photography, and the same scenes can be extended as the range grows.

Materials, light and camera

The range leans on honest materials. A cream tufted sofa and a sheepskin armchair with a timber frame bring texture to the living scene, beside a round coffee table with a woven cane inset. The dining set pairs a walnut-topped table on a sculptural black base with chairs in rust leather and walnut shells with cream trim and brass-capped legs, all set against a rough stone wall.

Camera work changes the job each image does. A wide view shows the whole living room; a low angle on a chair lets the tapered legs and brass tips carry the picture; a tight overhead frames the coffee table and a vase. Glass pendants pick up warm reflections, and soft shallow focus keeps backgrounds quiet so the product stays the subject.

How a set like this is built

We modelled each product from the brand's references, matched the dimensions, then placed everything in three designed room sets: living, dining and bedroom. Lighting is set once per room so every piece shot there shares the same mood. Because the room sets are built once, a late change to one product leaves the other images untouched.

The review round was specific and useful. The living-room background was sharpened, a furry armchair was softened so its texture looked inviting rather than harsh, and one chair's arms were re-curved and given a warmer colour. All twelve visuals were delivered and revised within eight days. Our turnaround guide explains how timing scales with the number of scenes.

Variants and extras

Once a room set exists, new work gets easier to imagine. Colourways for upholstery or timber can be swapped without rebuilding the scene, a new lamp can be dropped into an existing room, and clean cut-outs on white can be produced for online shops beside the styled scenes. Delivered at high resolution, the same files serve a printed catalogue, an online shop and social channels.

Brands often pair catalogue images with interior renders for trade showrooms or stand graphics. We quote product work as a fixed price within one business day, and the 3D rendering cost guide explains the factors that move it. Our briefing guide lists the references that speed things up.
