The brief

The developer needed everything a multi-stage townhouse launch relies on: aerials that place the scheme against the lake and hills, front and rear views of both house types, the shared pool and cabana, a rendered site plan for lot selection, and a complete set of show-unit interiors including the rooftop deck. A year later the site was flown by drone and the whole set was rebuilt over the real photography.

Our approach

The aerials were composited over licensed drone photographs so the surrounding landscape is real and the scheme sits accurately on its site. The pool and cabana were modelled from the client's Revit model and elevations. Interiors were produced in alternative layout and lighting options so the sales team could choose, and a flythrough animation was cut from the same model.

The result

Twenty-four stills plus a site plan and a 60-second animation, delivered in rolling batches to a shared folder and used across the display suite, brochure and online listings.

What this render has to do

A multi-stage townhouse launch asks a lot of its imagery. Buyers need to see where the community sits against the lake and hills, what the street will feel like, what the shared pool offers, which lot is theirs and what life inside a unit looks like. This set answers all of those in one coordinated package of stills, a rendered site plan and a flythrough.

Townhouse developments sell on repetition done well: the same two house types lined up along a street, so the images must keep that rhythm believable while still giving each view its own job. Our guide for property developers explains how those jobs divide across a launch campaign.

Materials, light and camera

The aerials sit over real photography, so the mountains, water and neighbouring streets are genuine and the scheme sits on its site convincingly. Warm sunset and dusk skies carry the mood. At street level the three-storey rows show grey cladding, cream and timber accents, garage doors and flat roofs with outdoor furniture on the decks.

The pool image shows a spa, timber loungers, a stone-faced cabana wall and a low sun. Interiors turn bright and white: timber-look floors, a kitchen island with stools, pendants, a dining area with a view of the mountains, a compact home office and a rooftop deck at sunset. A rendered site plan shows the curving road, landscaping and pool in one glance.

How a set like this is built

Aerials were composited over licensed drone photographs, with the scheme placed accurately in the landscape. The pool and cabana were modelled from the client's Revit model and elevations, and display-unit interiors were produced in alternative layout and lighting options so the sales team could choose. A flythrough animation was cut from the same model. Giving the sales team alternative layouts and lighting moods meant they could pick the version that best suited each room.

Everything arrived in rolling batches to a shared folder: twenty-four stills, a site plan and a 60-second animation. Aerials start from A$795, 3D exterior renders from A$445, interior renders from A$345, and 3D architectural animation from A$65 per second with a 30-second minimum.

Where the images go

The set worked across the display suite, the brochure and online listings. The site plan helps buyers pick lots, the aerials sell the setting, the pool and rooftop deck images sell lifestyle, and the display-unit interiors sit beside the sales team's floor plans. The animation plays on screens in the suite and on the project page. Because every image comes from one model, a late change to a facade colour or a lot boundary can be carried through the whole set.
