Interior 3D render of an open-plan living room with timber wall panelling

From the studio archive, described from the render itself.

What the render shows

A timber-panelled living and kitchen space with a stone benchtop and full-height glazing, shown from the entry.

How it was built

The camera at the entry lets the eye travel across the sofa to the kitchen and the view, and the room is styled with a restrained palette so the finishes stay the subject.

Deliverable

One interior render at brochure and portal resolution.

What this render has to do

An open-plan room is sold on how the zones relate. This render shows a lounge, a dining table and a kitchen bench in one continuous space, viewed from the entry so the eye travels across the sofa to the kitchen and then out through the glazing to the landscape. It is the kind of single hero image that anchors a display-suite brochure or a portal listing.

The challenge is restraint. A room with this much going on, timber, concrete, glass and a view, can easily look busy, so the styling is kept quiet and every object is chosen to support the finishes rather than compete with them. Pulled back far enough, the camera lets the sofa, dining table and kitchen bench each read as their own zone while still belonging to one room.

Materials, light and camera

Warm timber panelling wraps the left wall and the back of the kitchen, and a cool concrete-look floor and wall provide the counterpoint. A long grey sectional with a chaise faces the camera with two low dark tables, a dining table with grey chairs sits behind it, and three black dome pendants hang over the kitchen bench with its pale stone top.

Full-height black-framed glazing runs along the right wall and shows a soft, hazy hillside, which gives depth and a sense of position without competing with the interior. A blank framed canvas on the grey wall is left empty, a neutral spot for artwork. The camera is centred and level, which makes the room feel calm and orderly.

Where the images go

A render like this typically goes into a sales brochure, an online listing, an advertising banner or a large wall print in a display suite. One high-resolution image can serve all of them, cropped differently for each. It also works well in a set beside a bedroom and a bathroom, so a buyer sees the whole apartment.

For developers, consistency across a whole building matters more than any single view, and interior renders are the fastest way to deliver it. Our display-home renders page shows how interiors support house sales, and townhouse developments and apartment launches use the same approach. The guide for property developers shows how to stage a full set.
